History

The building of the original treated Institute Rajecké Teplice was built between 1930 – 1932, based on Ing. Dr. Jaroslav Stockar – Bernkopf´s project. The building was later known as spa house Baník and was used to recondition stays corporate employees. A new era in spa hotel Skalka began in 2005 with an extensive reconstruction. Main treatment building was converted into a 3stars stylish hotel, offering all the facilities for quality rest. The service of additional sports and spa treatments started in 2009.

Příroda

Skalka spa hotel is located in the northern edge of Rajecké Teplice, in the picturesque scenery of Rajec Valley which is lined by the slopes of Strážov belonging to the Highlands from the West, and Lučanská Malá Fatra from the East. The whole area is very rich in flora and fauna.
